On October 5th, José Hoebee took part in the Top40van040 evening at the Effenaar, a venue in Eindhoven, Netherlands. This event featured the crème de la crème of the North Brabant music scene from the past 60 years. The other singers performing on that occasion were Lenny Kuhr (the legendary Eurovision Song Contest winner of 1969), August Boers (Flyin' Spiderz), Kiki Mettler, Camilla Blue, Quintijn Lohman, Iris Penning and Dada. All artists were accompanied by the top band Betty Blue.
One of the songs José performed was a duet with Trea Dobbs. The ladies sang "Ploem, Ploem Jenka" (a cover version of the Finnish hit "Letkis" and a Dutch Top 10 hit in 1965 that Trea performed at the Nationaal Songfestival (Holland's preselection for the Eurovision Song Contest).
