Earlier this year, American author and Facebook friend James Arena published a book entitled "EUROPE’S STARS OF 80s DANCE POP VOL. 2" (see news posted on March 16th, 2015). He interviewed 33 incredible singers, songwriters, DJs, producers and industry pros from one of dance music’s most spectacular eras (including Engelbert Humperdinck ("Traumen Mit Engelbert"), Tony Esposito ("Kalimba De Luna"), Ben Liebrand (remixer of "Happy Station" (Fun Fun), Sven van Veen of MC Miker G & DJ Sven ("Holiday Rap"), Kurt René Plisnier of Opus ("Live Is Life"), Helen Scott of The Three Degrees ("Set Me Free"), Lino Nicolosi of Valerie Dore ("The Night") and Precious Wilson - formerly of Eruption ("Cry To Me")
Luv's lead singer José Hoebee has got a magnificent chapter in the book. She discussed her glory years as a member of Holland's greatest girl group and as a solo artist. On July 28th, I met José at the Ambacht café in Best, NL so she could sign my copy of James' publication and pose for a couple of photographs:
